December 5, 2008 @ 2:15 am: ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ VIP launch ceremony

Anna is very much in the United Kingdom, following the emergence of a gorgeous new event! Appearing at ‘The Sleeping Beauty’ VIP Reception, Anna looked absolutely black-and-red outfit. The reception marks the beginning of the English National Ballet Christmas season for 2008.

I’ve added one high quality to the galleries. Edit! I’ve added four new medium quality pictures to the gallery.

December 1, 2008 @ 4:05 am: ‘Prince Caspian’ DVD captures - ta da!

As promised from my previous update, I’ve gotten around to capping and uploading the relevant special features from the Prince Caspian DVD. High quality screen captures have been added to the DVD Featurette album, which features loads of great behind-the-scenes interaction with the cast, deleted scenes, including the adorable “archery lesson” clip and the ever popular blooper reel.

Also, in other gallery related news, I’ve added some brand new high qualities to the How to Lose Friends and Alienate People premiere, this year’s Nick Kid’s Choice Awards UK and some absolutely gorgeous Pevensie-kid shots from the National Movie Awards. You can check those out in our galleries, or below.

I finally got my hands on a copy of the Prince Caspian DVD and I’m in the middle of capping! So far I’ve only uploaded the movie caps to the gallery. Click here to view more than 400 HQ caps, all of Anna as Susan.

Between films you sat your driving test?
I failed twice and I dread them because I get so nervous, I don’t get nervous on stage or on film set but for some reason the driving test makes me absolutely petrified! source

Thanks to tips from Jessica, we now know of the Prince Caspian DVD features online on Youtube. Thanks to lmfansub, the deleted scenes and bloopers which are on the ‘Prince Caspian’ DVD can be seen here, on Youtube.

Deleted scenes include the Susan and Caspian archery lsssons and leaving for the raid on Miraz’s castle. Check out the bloopers here!

November 4, 2008 @ 11:56 pm: New layout, plus Narnia news!

As y’all can see we have a brand spanking new layout! It’s all pretty and pink and for added eye-candy, features William and Ben! In other site news, the fanzone section has been updated with a few interactive things for visitors to participate in - I’ll be adding more later.

This article has raised speculation that the Narnia kids will be heading off to promote the release of Prince Caspian in the US, specifically Philadelphia. The article only confirms William’s trip, but could also mean that Anna and the rest of the cast will be heading to Philadelphia so keep an eye peeled!

He’s about to jet off to LA and Philadelphia to promote the release of the DVD next month. In Prince Caspian he resumes his role as Peter Pevensie and returns to Narnia, along with his siblings Susan, Edmund and Lucy, to save the magical world from the tyranny of King Miraz. The second film in the Narnia trilogy is darker than the first and packed with action scenes. source

I’ve finally completed the Narnia: LWW movie companion scans; as with the Prince Caspian scans, I omitted a few pages because they were already seen stills. Check out the scans here in our galleries.

October 31, 2008 @ 1:59 am: ‘Spring Awakening’ trailer

The Spring Awakening trailer, but in nice, clear high quality.

Also, I’ve added a dozen or so new pictures to the gallery. Updates albums include some new fan photographs, the DKNY Store Launch, high qualities in both Prince Caspian London premiere and New York premiere. I’ve also added a new folder cleverly titled Misc for pictures I can’t place (any help finding these events would be much appreciated!).

October 25, 2008 @ 5:43 am: popplewellfan.net! Plus gallery, gallery, gallery!

First off, Anna Popplewell Fan has moved to its very own domain! Please redirect your bookmarks to popplewellfan.net! I’m quite proud as I managed to transfer the site successfully without deleting it completely, so hurrah for me!

Also in new-ish news, I’ve made a lot of updates into the gallery. Screencaps have been added to the Lion, Witch, Wardrobe behind-the-scenes featurette and also massive movie caps have been added. Also new are some new pictures from way back in 2005 during the LWW promotional of the Pevensie children donating memorabilia to Planet Hollywood, and a new Prince Caspian poster.

Also, during my frequent livejournal visits, I stumbled upon a very cute quote from Mr Bin Bons himself on his first day of filming with a Pevensie. It comes from the afterword of the movie companion:

“My initial encounter with a Pevensie was a shot riding through the forest with Anna on the back of my horse. I felt chivalrous and heroic… until she nearly fell off. Thankfully, Anna has a wonderful sense of humour, and she actually found it amusing that she had an imprint of my chain mail on her cheek from holding on so tight.” source

And finally, lots of new stuff has been added to the Youtube, including good quality scenes from the Prince Caspian move to tide you over until the DVD release December 2nd.
